I'm really sold on the design of this "Solid Bronze Entry Lamp" from Coe Studios in Berkeley, CA. A lot of info, believe me, comes into my email "in" box, and a lot of it can be ignored. But not these lovely garden lights. This lamp can be mounted on top of a fence post and it's shade is a nice 12 inches square. 110/120 volt current, and UL-wet location approved for 150 watts. Coe also makes a garden lamp that's very similar, which can be adapted for low voltage and also comes in a frosted glass.
This hanging lamp comes in two sizes, and it would be fabulous suspended from an arbor, above a deck off the back of the house, or from a bracket hanging on the side of the house over a patio or terrace. Each lamp comes with 12 inches of chain (maybe not long enough) ... but you can order additional chain lengths. 110-120 volt or 12-volt current.
I also like these unusual footlights, which would be most appropriate for the garden of a contemporary style house. Again, they are solid bronze and sturdy, great for any location where you need illumination for safe footing. This light can be adapted for either low voltage or 110-120 volt bulbs.
Check out Coe's website for many more lamp styles, and also for lighting stores around the country that carry Coe's products.
