It has been a lot of snow this winter I have to agree. I have been out in the garden sometimes even at night shaking the snow off the Thujas as I had a lot of damage leaving the snow on in 2003. It's kind of fun though. So the gardening mood can be maintained during winter as well :)

Everyone should be in the mood to encourage people to get out in the snow and carefully brush the globs of snow and ice off of their plants, especially their broadleaf evergreens. The Rhododendron that I brushed off looked quite grateful the next day. When I found them, they were bent over sideways.

I'm starting seeds that may never become garden worthy plants - just to have my hands in potting soil.
It has been the most wintery winter ever!
