I don't think it is so much the color which doesn't work as it is the bright color is simply thrown in front of the house with no context- like a glob of paint. Lead the eye with planting both sides of the walkway. Adding height. Create shadowline with window boxes on the upper windows and the lusher landscape could work.


meh? I think it looks ok, better than the sad looking Dahlias and geraniums in front of my neighbour's house.
