Looking for someone to speak to your group on garden design, garden history, native plants, trees & shrubs, flower gardens???
Look no further than Great Garden Speakers. It's a new website where you can find speakers on almost any garden, horticulture, or design topic ... and among them are some of the most well-known and popular authors and designers around the country.
The website was created by a group of garden writers -- including Debra Prinzing, Nan Sterman, Amy Stewart, Scott Calhoun and Mary Ann Newcomer --to make it easier for groups to find garden speakers. There's a feature called "Coming to a City Near You," which allows groups to search for lecturers who might be coming their way. According to Amy Stewart, this can mean "significant costs savings when it comes to travel expenses and speaking fees."
The site also allows individuals to post reviews and comments about the speakers they've seen. Groups that book speakers through the site can sign up for a free e-mail newsletter that has updates on new speakers who've joined the list, book releases, and more.
I just recently discovered your blog and am so glad I did. What a sweet post!
