These are very attractive but the reason so many bird baths sit on pedestals is to eliminate the opportunity for rodents to have a water source.
If you have rodent issues you may not be able to eliminate a food source, acorns, crab apples, etc. with in their nesting range but you can be diligent about water.


This is a great idea. This kind of a birdbath is looking great for a garden. Thanks for sharing the post. Will have one in my garden also soon.
