Seibert & Rice has released a series of new terra cotta containers by designer Richard Hartlage. The bee pot, shown here, is about 17" x 17" and shows bees buzzing around the circumference, as well as a honeycomb. A cheerful item for anyone's deck or patio.
I'm partial, however, to his new bird container, which depicts warbling barn swallows in their characteristic swooping mode.
This pot, at about 23" x 25", will take a larger plant, and it has a nice, elongated form that would show off well with either a low plant, like the one shown here, or a larger, more architectural specimen.
Hartlage also designed a hanging container (19 x 10") which can be suspended from above, decorated with trilliums; and there's a 17 x 16"tree pot that's ringed with dogwood flowers and white oak acorns at the base.
