Francis Meilland®
(Rosa 'Meitroni')
From Star® Rose/Conard-Pyle, this hybrid tea rose is truly stunning. I have it in my back yard, and it's one of my two (so far) all-time favorites. The fragrance is strong and sweet, and the flowers are a delicate, gorgeous pearly pink. I had no trouble, during last summer's heat and humidity, with any diseases at all on this rose. It's a real winner.
Large 4-inch blooms, continuous flowering, upright form, dark green semi-glossy leaves, 6 feet tall, 3 feet wide.
2013 AARS Winner.
Tequila Gold™
(Rosa 'Meipojona')
I have this shrub rose, too, and it blooms non-stop from its first flush in May or so. The color is bright and strong, so it's great for bold arrangements. Five to six feet high, four to five wide, bushy form, .. it could make a very colorful hedge. No noticeable scent, but it is very disease resistant. Star Rose/Conard-Pyle.
Twilight Zone
(Rosa 'WEKebtidere') Weeks Roses
There aren't many deep purple roses, and this medium-height grandiflora might make a great garden specimen. It has a spreading and rounded habit, with deeply scented blooms about 4 to 5 inches in diameter. Disease resistance said to be good. It's a cross between 'Ebb Tide' and 'Della Reese', bred by Tom Carruth.
Love Song™
(Rosa 'WEKstameda')
Another unusual hued rose from Weeks Roses, this floribunda is of medium height, with a rounded and bushy form. The blooms, about 4.5 inches in diameter, have a mild citrus scent. Bred by Tom Carruth, it's a cross as follows: (Stainless Steel x [Blueberry Hill x Stephen's Big Purple)] x Sunset Celebrtion} x memorial Day. Wow.
Look-A-Likes™ Hydrangealicious
(Rosa 'Harballred')
Yes, you might not believe it, but the blooms on this rose look just like a hydrangea. I have this one, too, in my garden, and it indeed is a show stopper. It's low growing, about two feet high and wide, and there is no scent, but of course you'd put this rose somewhere in a border. It has a low, mounding form and was bred by Peter Harris. This also from Star Roses/Conard-Pyle.
