New this year from Star Roses: my favorites, among all the new ones.
Princesse Charlene de Monaco®
(Rosa 'Meidysouk')
A new hybrid tea with blooms of shell pink to light apricot, a very strong scent and excellent disease resistance.
The leaves are medium green, and the plant attains a height of about five feet with a spread of two to three. Hybridized by Meilland International, this rose requires full sun, and it's a great choice as a cut flower. I LOVE the flower color.
Fruity Petals®
(Rosa Radpetals')
Looking for something a little different in a climber? Then this rose is just what you want. It's disease resistant, the flowers are coral with a yellow eye, and it blooms heavily in spring and re-flowers throughout the season.
The foliage is medium green, and the plant was hybridized by William Radler, breeder of the Knock Out® rose.
Height is up to six feet, and it's hardy in Zones 5-9.
Canyon Road®
(Rosa Meiscarlebo')
And finally, another Meilland introduction, this one a Floribunda with bright red flowers, a bushy habit, a height of about 2.5 feet and a slightly wider spread.
Glossy dark green leaves make a good contrast with the blooms, and it has a good disease tolerance. With it's rather small size, it would be great near the front of the border, especially if you plant more than one.
