Works by celebrated Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama go on display at the New York Botanical Garden April 10, at the beginning of a large exhibition that runs through October 31.
KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature marks the first comprehensive exhibition that explores her lifelong fascination with all aspects of nature.
The show includes works that will be placed outside in the garden, including Dancing Pumpkin, a bronze sculpture in yellow and black that soars 16 feet high.
In the Enid Haupt Conservatory, three gallieries will be transformed by a horticultural celebration of Kusama's concepts of flowers and foliage.
And in the Mertz Library, visitors wil be able to examine Kusama's botanical sketches, collages, soft sculptures and paintings.
And do check out the NYBG website for lectures and many more public programs associated with the exhibition.
Don't Miss It!
